What is Campus Martius?

Campus Martius is Latin for “Field of Mars” and is the name of a park in downtown Detroit, which was named after a publicly owned area of ancient Rome.   Having little to do with those meanings, the TV series is named “Campus Martius” because “Diff’rent Strokes” was already taken.

The TV series is loosely based on a fringe festival touring show created by and starring Tommy “Rev. Nuge” Nugent and Kurt Fitzpatrick.   It is currently intended to be an eight-episode season of 25-30 minute episodes, for cable or streaming.
